Flying the US East Coast flag with his twin brother*, CJ will surely want to challenge the Aussies with his own brand of aerial acrobatics. The explosive and smooth goofy footer can do Ally Oops and Air Reverses with the best of them!

Bede Durbidge.

A Queensland fella, specifically North Stradbroke Island, Bede is showing some slaying form of late, and his repertoire is fat with smooth tricks and aerial trickery. With a previous Boost Mobile win at Trestle in the US, watch The White Fijian have a shot at the Boost Surf Sho Aussie title!

With retirement rumours surrounding his 2008 ASP campaign, his focus may now be on free surfing and futuristic moves. If so, he’ll no doubt be getting tailored for the Champions jacket pre event. Voted by peers past and present as the best surfer ever, he’ll be mobbed when he steps onto the sand. So stand in line people, I want a piece of the Kelly action too!

Luke Stedman

The lanky style icon from Avalon in Sydney has been chipping away at the CT for a few years now and at each event his inclusion to the expression session enables his long limbs a chance to stretch out and throw some kind of tricker to the skies. Watch him go nuts on the Goldie!

Bol

Or Made Winada Adi Putra if your from Bali. Bol has himself a sticker pack and his local break is Kuta Beach. So with the warm Queensland climate mirroring his local conditions, in some punchy beach break surf, Bol will no doubt launch from the lip with the rest of the motley Surf Sho crew. Go Bol Boost!

11 AERIAL SPECIALIST

Wade Goodall

Good Oil will no doubt bring the trick he coined himself, the Passion Pop. Something between a superman and a chop hop shove it, confused? Don’t worry, he’ll be boosting massive air too. His thirst for technical tricks suits the Surf Sho Trick collection and he’ll be spelling out the letters on his arm quicker than you can say Boost!

Troy Brooks

Having just retired from full time competition, Troy will have no pressure going into this event. His trademark air The Superman is on the wheel, and no doubt he’ll be flying through the Surf Sho with a cape!

Julian Wilson

The surfing world has been shining a spotlight in this kids eyes. Pressure? Hell no, he’s a mellow cat letting the hype fly over his head. Though come wheel spinning time look out, he’ll be the one flying above the lip with style. Take note boys, shredding lady-killer coming through.

Dion Agius

Only pint sized, Little D can throw a big B. A technically skilled surfer he spends most of the year rolling the planet throwing all kinds of whacky heat. Though come Boost Mobile Surf Sho time he’ll be spelling out the words B-o-o-s-t his own way. Fly Lil’ D fly!

Ry Craike - World Tour Rider - Boost Mobile Surf Sho Presented By Nokia

The goofy footer from Kalbarri in the West has a forehand fin wafting reverse that could almost be its own trick on the wheel. With a solid free surfing approach and a repertoire that turns heads, Craikey will definitely be throwing down some loose moves under the sun.

"Ozzie" Oscar Wright - World Tour Rider - Boost Mobile Surf Sho Presented By Nokia

Something of a revolutionary, Ozzie has contributed many good things in the evolution of modern day wave riding. His individual approach is carried from the studio to the car park and into the line up. What he brings to the Surf Sho is going to be very very interesting girls and boys.

Qualifiers

These three cats have punted their way out of the preliminary qualification rounds and are psyched to have a crack at the big time. The underdogs are always a threat in the Boost Mobile Surf Sho format so expect some big name upsets as these fellas bust their fins in pursuit of the Champions Jacket.

Junior Air Show Winner

Ah young blood. Nothing like watching a grommet rise to the occasion and have a shot at mixing it up under the spotlight. Grommets are the future, and this kid is flying!
